Provides participants with the knowledge and skills to perform CPR during an emergency incident.
This course includes;
Resuscitation HLTAID001
Pre-Requisites:
-Must be a financial Club member prior to course registration
-Must be at least 12 years of age on the date of the final assessment
The full unit HLTAID001 must be redone every year
Assessment:
Participants will be required to complete activities that may include role plays, oral and written questioning, practical demonstrations and performing scenarios. This will take place on the final day of the course
Provide First Aid aims to develop the knowledge and skills for a person to manage emergency first aid situations and deliver competent emergency care until the arrival of professional medical support.
This course includes;
Resuscitation HLTAID001
Basic Emergency Life Support (BELS) HLTAID002
Provide First Aid HLTAID003
Course Dates First Aid courses typically run over two days from 8am to 4pm or Blended (theory online) over one full day 8-4pm
Pre-Requisites:
-Must be a financial Club member prior to course registration
-Must be at least 14 years of age on the date of the final assessment
This qualification is valid for three years, the Resusciation unit HLTAID001 must be redone every year.
The CPR (HLTAID001) needs to be retaken every year to keep this component current.
Assessment:
Participants will be required to complete activities that may include role plays, oral and written questioning, practical demonstrations and performing scenarios. This will take place on the final day of the course.
Advanced Resuscitation aims to provide participants with the necessary skills, knowledge and applications to use advanced resuscitation techniques. It is specifically designed for individuals wishing to safely administer oxygen by facemask or mechanical resuscitator to a breathing or non-breathing casualty.
Course Dates ART courses typically run over two days (Saturday & Sunday) from 8am to 4pm or via a online blended method (1 full day face to face)
Pre-Requisites:
-Must be a financial Club member prior to course registration
-Must be at least 15 years of age on the date of the final assessment
Skills Maintenance The Advanced Resuscitation Techniques award is valid for 3 years, after which the course must be completed in full again.
Assessment:
Participants will be required to complete activities that may include role plays, oral and written questioning, practical demonstrations and performing scenarios. This will take place on the final day of the course.
